Audience Development
In this module, the relationship between museums and the public will be researched. The focus is on knowledge about the audience, its composition, its expectations and its behaviour (visitor studies), and on the role of museums as agents of social change, with reference to their direct relationship with the public they serve. The starting point is the 'optimising' of audience in relation to the mission statement of the museum and the existing pre-conditions.
